Quick answer

Unifi relocation is free for existing customers. Apply through the MyUnifi app, Unifi Selfcare, a TMpoint or Unifi Store, or by calling 100. It takes about 7 to 14 business days when the new address has coverage, your contract carries on without renewing, and your current line stays on until the new one is installed.

How to apply for Unifi relocation

  1. Check coverage at the new address. A fibre relocation only works if Unifi Home reaches your new home. We can check it for you, free.
  2. Pay any outstanding bill. Unifi processes relocation only for active accounts with no overdue amount.
  3. Submit the request. Use the MyUnifi app or Unifi Selfcare, visit a TMpoint or Unifi Store (you verify with your thumbprint), call the Unifi Contact Centre on 100 or use Unifi’s live chat.
  4. Choose an installation slot. Pick a date that suits your move. To reschedule without a penalty, do it by 4pm the day before the appointment.
  5. Bring your equipment. Take your Unifi router and devices to the new home. Relocation does not include new equipment, and the installer must be TM-authorised.

Before you move: a short checklist

  • Finish any renovation wiring at the new home first, and make sure power sockets are ready where the router will go.
  • Your home phone number may change if it cannot be kept at the new location.
  • Want a faster plan? Upgrade after the relocation is complete. An upgrade starts a new contract.
  • Moving from a home to a business address? Unifi asks you to end the home package and apply for a business package instead.

If Unifi does not reach your new home

Unifi puts the address on its demand list and lets you know once fibre arrives. Meanwhile you have two options:

  • Unifi AirUnifi may offer its 5G home broadband instead, which needs no installation. See Unifi Air plans.
  • Another providerTIME, Maxis or CelcomDigi may already cover the building. Send us the new address and we check all four at once.

Unifi’s FAQ also says you are not charged an early termination fee if Unifi is not available at your new address. Confirm this with Unifi before you cancel.

Relocate, or start fresh?

Relocation is handled by Unifi for existing accounts, so you apply with Unifi directly. Starting a new registration can make more sense when:

  • Your contract has ended or is about to, and you want a newer plan or router.
  • Another provider covers your new home and suits you better.
  • Unifi does not reach the new address.

In those cases we can check coverage and register the new line for you at no extra cost. Compare Unifi home fibre plans or every plan from all four providers.

Questions

Is Unifi relocation free?

Yes. Unifi does not charge for the relocation itself. Non-standard installation or extra cabling at the new home is charged separately by the contractor.

How long does Unifi relocation take?

About 7 to 14 business days when the new address has Unifi coverage, depending on the installation slots available.

Will my Unifi contract restart if I relocate?

No. Unifi says your service contract carries on and is not renewed.

Will I lose internet while moving?

No. Your current line stays active until the new installation is complete, so you can overlap the move.

Can someone else apply for me?

Only in specific cases Unifi lists, such as serious illness, living or working overseas, OKU, or senior citizens aged 60 and above who cannot attend in person. They need an authorisation letter signed by the account owner and supporting documents.

What is “Unifi pindah rumah”?

It is the same thing: moving your Unifi service to a new house. The steps above apply.
