How to check Unifi coverage yourself

  1. Open Unifi’s coverage checker on unifi.com.my.
  2. Choose the Fibre Broadband tab for home fibre, or Mobile to check 5G for Unifi Air.
  3. Type your location or building name. Unifi suggests the taman or apartment name without the unit number, for example “Apartment Seri Jati” or “Jalan Camar”.
  4. Add your full address and press Check Coverage.

Tip: if your building does not come up, try the taman name, the main road, or the developer’s name for the project. New buildings are sometimes listed under their launch name.

What the result means

Unifi says its checker is for information only and does not guarantee service at your exact address. Fibre availability can still depend on in-building wiring and local work in progress. So treat the result as a strong hint, not a final answer:

  • CoveredGood news. It is still worth confirming before you pay anything, especially in a condo.
  • Not coveredIt may be true, or your address may be listed under another name. We can check it for you through the dealer channel.

Unifi fibre or Unifi Air (5G)?

If Unifi fibre reaches your home, it is usually the steadier choice for a busy household. If it does not, Unifi Air is Unifi’s 5G home WiFi: a plug-in router that only needs a 5G signal, so there is nothing to install. Check the Mobile tab in the checker, or ask us, to see whether the 5G signal is good where you live.

Installation, once you are covered

Unifi’s FAQ says standard installation covers cabling for the first 50 metres, and that installation and testing take roughly 4 to 8 hours depending on your type of home. Extra cabling or hidden wiring can cost more, and that is agreed with the installer on the day. We confirm the current terms with you before you register.

Questions about Unifi coverage

Why does the Unifi checker say I am covered but my neighbour is not?

Fibre is laid street by street and building by building, so neighbouring streets can get different answers. Building names that are spelled differently can also give different results.

Can JOM Apply check Unifi coverage for me?

Is it cheaper to sign up for Unifi directly?
