Good to know before you sign up
- Speed depends on the 5G signal where you are. Unifi does not publish a speed for each plan.
- It is data only, with no calls or SMS. For calls you need a separate mobile plan.
- Unifi’s router and pocket WiFi only work with a Unifi Air SIM.
- You can have up to 3 Unifi Air lines per MyKad or passport.
Router or pocket WiFi?
- ZTE MC8810 5G routerStays at home, with WiFi 6 and up to 64 connected devices. Best for households.
- ZTE U30 5G pocket WiFiSmall and portable, handy if you also want internet on the go.
Both come free on the SIM + device plans. The RM149 plan comes with the router.

Unifi Air or Unifi fibre?
If Unifi fibre reaches your home, Unifi Home is usually faster and steadier. Unifi Air suits renters, short stays, and homes fibre does not reach yet. See fibre vs 5G home WiFi.
Unifi Air questions
Is Unifi Air the same as Unifi fibre?
No. Unifi Air runs on Unifi’s mobile 5G network through a plug-in router or pocket WiFi. Fibre comes through a cable to your home.
Is there a contract?
The SIM + device plans are on a 24-month contract. Unifi lists the SIM-only plan as no contract, and we confirm the terms with you when you register.
How is the service activated?
It switches on by itself once the Unifi Air SIM is in the router or pocket WiFi, and Unifi sends an SMS to confirm.
How long does the device take to arrive?
For orders outside Unifi stores, Unifi lists 1 to 3 working days in the Klang Valley and major cities, 5 to 7 working days elsewhere in the peninsula, and 7 to 14 working days in East Malaysia.
Can I make calls or send SMS?
No. Unifi Air is data only. For calls and SMS you need a separate mobile plan.
What if I use up the 120GB?
You can add 30GB of 5G data for RM30, valid 30 days, through the Unifi portal or the Unifi UniVerse app.
Can I use the Unifi router with another SIM?
No. Unifi’s Unifi Air devices only work with Unifi Air SIM cards.
How many lines can I have?
Up to 3 Unifi Air lines per MyKad or passport.
